How a Broken Phone Case Sparked the Birth of POKY
A year ago, I (Paulina, the founder of POKY) found myself in a frustrating yet all-too-familiar situation - once again, my phone case had broken. As an Apple fan, I noticed that the quality of their cases had been declining over the years. Fed up with spending 60 Euros on so-called “premium” phone cases that didn’t live up to the hype, I decided to explore what other brands were offering. Unfortunately, I still couldn’t find what I was looking for: an original, colorful phone case that could be a cute detail to my outfit and provide good protection.
That’s when an idea struck me – why not create my own brand? I envisioned a product that I would personally want to use, one that combined premium quality with many features. After all, a product is much better when designed with the same care and attention that its creator would expect as a consumer. And so, the journey of POKY began.
The road to finding the perfect product was filled with trials and testing, but I finally found what I was looking for right here in our home country, Lithuania. It was crucial to me that POKY cases truly embodied premium quality and offered excellent value for their price. I wanted the price and quality to be in perfect harmony, because these days, a lot of businesses just want more and more money and they started to care less about their customers.
Once the perfect product was found, the next steps were creating designs, building an online shop, and establishing a social media presence. My husband and I spent countless hours developing the brand, pouring our heart and soul into every aspect. A special thank you goes to my husband, without whom this journey would not have been possible. Together, we took on the roles of a 20-person team, enduring sleepless nights and tireless days.
Despite the challenges, we were very stubborn because we believed in POKY. Our brand is still small compared to the giants in the industry, but we are committed to putting all our love and effort into making POKY a success. We handle everything locally here in Lithuania and ship to the whole world.
One of the happiest moments for me was when customers started returning after their first purchase. It was a testament to the quality and care we put into our products, and it filled me with joy and pride.
